Course Description:
Marketing can be easily defined as anything and everything that helps you attract and maintain clients. In this class we will discuss formal marketing concepts such as:
Product and Service Mix
Personal Mission Statement
Marketing Goals
Consumer and Competitive Analysis
Pricing, Distribution and Promotional Strategies
We will also look at personal aspects of marketing such as attributes and characteristics of successful massage therapists, personal definitions of success, overcoming obstacles and fears, and outlining the neccessary steps to reach our personal and professional goals.
At the end of this workshop students will have developed a formal and personalized marketing plan that can be incorporated into a complete business plan, and utilized for measuring effectiveness over time.

Instructor Biography:
Melissa Rich is a Tucson native and the owner and operator of A Rich Experience Massage & Wellness Spa. Melissa studied at the The Desert Institute of the Healing Arts - Cortiva Institute in Tucson, Arizona and graduated in 2003. Melissa received her Associates in Business from Pima Community College in 2008 with a focus on Accounting, Business Management and Marketing.
As a business owner, Melissa has learned what works in the world of marketing in the bodywork industry. Melissa will guide you through the steps of defining and understanding the most effective marketing strategies for you business.

Preparation: Please bring in examples of printed materials, including business cards, brochures, etc. and writing materials.
